About Mimesis Education

I started Mimesis Education with a very particular idea in mind: to empower young teachers and those new to the classical model to thrive inside and out of the school building. In the classical education movement, we have an abundance of executive coaching for leadership, but too often teachers are left to fend for themselves. Even in schools that build in coaching to their staffs’ schedules, needs are not being met, and teachers are struggling. Worse, good teachers are leaving the field. The goal of the Institute is to offer an extra, external support structure for these teachers to help them grow philosophically and pedagogically as well as to help schools retain excellent teachers. The research is clear: when teachers feel adequately supported, they stay.
